With some simple ingredients, this sauce can help you to prepare a quick yet delicious meal for your family.
Yummy to serve with steamed yellow rice (nasi kuning kukus).
Pan Fried Spare Ribs with WORLDFOODS Indonesian tamarind sauce

500g pork spareribs
4 cloves garlic
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp cooking oil
For the marinade
1/3cup WORLDFOODS Indonesian tamarind sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
a pinch black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
some chopped red chillis
- Wash and clean pork spareribs, pat dry. Marinate spare ribs for 20-30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan, add in shallots and garlic, sauté till brown and aroma. Add in pork spareribs, and pan fry till both sides turned golden brown.
- Add water, marinated sauce from spare ribs and bring it to boil over medium heat. Once boiled reduce to low heat, cover with lid and cook for 12 mins or until sauce thicken.
- Garnish with red chillis. Serve with steamed rice.
