Pan Fried Spare Ribs with WORLDFOODS Indonesian tamarind sauce


I am very happy to receive a complimentary bottle of Indonesian tamarind sauce from Worldfoods @ Giveaway by Eat Your Heart OutAs a gesture of appreciation, I would like to share with you this Pan Fried Spare Ribs with WORLDFOODS Indonesian tamarind sauce.

With some simple ingredients, this sauce can help you to prepare a quick yet delicious meal for your family.
Yummy to serve with steamed yellow rice (nasi kuning kukus).
Pan Fried Spare Ribs with WORLDFOODS Indonesian tamarind sauce
(Recipe by Copycake Kitchen)

Ingredients:
500g pork spareribs
2 shallots
4 cloves garlic
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp cooking oil

For the marinade
1/3cup WORLDFOODS Indonesian tamarind sauce
1tsp sugar
1 tbsp light soy sauce
a pinch black pepper
1/2 tsp salt

Garnishing 
some chopped red chillis


Method
  1. Wash and clean pork spareribs, pat dry. Marinate spare ribs for 20-30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add in shallots and garlic, sauté till brown and aroma. Add in pork spareribs, and pan fry till both sides turned golden brown.
  3. Add water, marinated sauce from spare ribs and bring it to boil over medium heat. Once boiled reduce to low heat, cover with lid and cook for 12 mins or until sauce thicken.
  4. Garnish with red chillis.  Serve with steamed rice.

  1. Oh wow, this sure looks heavenly delicious. With good marinade and long hours of soaking in that sauce, the flavour and taste really absorbs into the meat.

    1. Yes, Mel. Usually I marinate meat overnight, but for this spare ribs I only marinate it for 30 minutes but it was still flavour and delicious.
